I am a self confessed E-learning enthusiast, and passionate about technology and learning.
The main focus of my work was supporting the network of faculty-based digital teaching technology staff (Contacts for Academic Technologies (CATs)) promoting the use of technology and supporting academics working with technology in their teaching.
I also provided training and professional development opportunities for VUW staff and tutors in the use of educational technology for teaching and learning, and related areas and provides advice and assistance in developing teaching materials for flexible learning environments. During my time at Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) I became a member of the Digital technologies for Learning and Teaching - Operational Advisory group. This group identifies and explores opportunities, challenges and support needs of staff and students relating to the use of digital technologies for learning and teaching. The timetabling review group, reviewing the use of our teaching spaces. Striving to make the most of the spaces we have to provide the best learning experience in the right environment.

Teaching/Research interests:
e-learning remains a central focus in my learning and teaching activities. I am a strong advocate of blended learning as a means of supporting professional education and training and provides opportunities for students and staff to develop skills in C&IT at every opportunity.
I have a particular research interest in the development and integration of e-learning, within pre and post registration nurse education and the use of blended and e-learning in CPD activities. I am considering PhD study within these areas.
Potential theme "Influence of learning technologies on Nurse Education/ Professional development activities of Registered nurses in New Zealand".
I am particularly keen to engage with research which brings together my nursing experience and expertise with digital technologies.
