Student designed award

My programme is designed to help me achieve the following:

• Develop an understanding and appreciation of the key theoretical and practical issues involved in learning, teaching and assessment on-line.

• Practice e-tutoring through practical hands-on experience of supporting a group of learners on-line and develop the skills involved for the tutor in teaching on-line and/or within blended learning contexts.

• Develop my understanding of design, production and management of resources for eLearning.

• Explore the policies and aspects of organisational, national and global context which impact on the effective management and implementation of eLearning in different professional contexts.

• Explore and evaluate new and emerging digital media technologies and consider how this can be used to support and develop eLearning.

Rationale for the programme:

The programme will enable me to meet my learning aims; the modules I select will focus on developing my knowledge and skills in the development and embedding eLearning in professional education and facilitating learning in a higher education/ professional education.
