Field lead - learning disabilities November 2020 to date
Ensure modules and programmes remain fit for purpose for the learning disability field of practice.
Contribute to aspects of post launch reviews, annual quality reporting and annual review of currency of modules/ programmes.
Act as a point of contact for Learning Disability specific content for colleagues (Internal and external) to the Open University.
Contribute in the Nursing Qualifications’ combined team meetings (or equivalent meetings).
Module Chair March 2020 to date.
Overseeing the production and presentation of the module including in-presentation and out-of-presentation tasks.
During production, working with others, I establish what the module will be about, its contents, assessment strategy, tuition strategy, learning design (and accessibility), Associate Lecturer job description, description on Study at the OU and approach to critical reading for the module. I am responsible for coordinating the creation of module material – ensuring that the module teaches what it sets out to do and does so to the required quality, therefore I ‘sign module material off’ as at the appropriate quality for presentation.
During presentation, I have responsibility for academic conduct issues, tutor issues, overseeing the the Student Welcome Forum and Tutor forums, monitoring, coordination of End of Module Assessment marking, tutor debrief, Module results activities. I also facilitate the tutor briefing and consult with students on module related matters as part of Quality, Monitoring and Improvement processes.
