VMware Presents, “Working with your tools of the Trade”
Goals: The Goal of this session is to education current users of VMware in how to constructively some of the features of VMware with other Operating Systems on the market, how to manipulate it to your desired settings and how to make valuable usage of it on a VMware Player.
Audience: This VMware Session mainly targets individual(s) that are current users or have some training in VMware to know what they are doing with it.
Prerequisites: The only prerequisite(s) required is that you have a basic knowledge of the use of VMware.
Methods: Trainee(s) are required to work along in that session so that they can get the steps how to load ISO images, create the VMware Machines, learn a couple shortcuts and understand how to apply these steps with the VMware Player. Note taking options of any sort is highly recommended and make sure you have VMware software available to you.
Learning and Performance Outcome: By the time the training is finished you will have learned a couple new steps in using VMware Software and have found and sampled a few new resources available in a format that can be utilized in VMware, you will learn:
· All about the new ISO images available that can be used in VMware.
· A good feel on how to set these and other ISOs’ up as VM Machines.
· A few shortcuts that will save time efficiently on creating VM Machines.
· A little information on using the machines on VMware Player.
This Training session will also teach you about how to set up and download software on your VM Machines, Recognition of icons on the desktop for each Operating System, what selection(s) to make for optimal performance of your VM Machine, how much memory to use and best tips and pointers on where and how to save your machine you created.
Performance Measures: A person trained in session should be able to learn time saving techniques on making a VM Machine from any available ISO image found on the internet, Learn time saving tips on how to make a machine with maximal performance capability and be able to use it on a VMware Player equally as on a Workstation.
