Paropsisterna sospita is the east coast species of this group and the very similar Paropsis thyone occurs in the tropical western states.

Sospitas = health, safety, welfare.

Juno Sospita is a Roman Goddess. She seemed to be the Goddess of everything and Sospita (Saviour) is only one of her titles.
