Eggs are placed on tips of leaves and branches and placed at all angles around the shaft.

Paropsis atomaria is possibly the most common

species in Australia being recorded in Victoria, NSW and Queensland. They usually occur with six grey spots on the elytra and a matching lateral marginal stripe.
