Tigers and their adult partners work together on meetings, field trips, and requirements. The adult partner marks each achievement in Scoutbook, while the den leader also records progress. Tigers track their advancement in their handbooks.

Uniform costs are not included in membership and can be purchased in-person or online.
Your scout needs a rank-appropriate uniform and handbook they will use throughout the year. Rank-specific shopping lists (including optional items) can be found below. These items can be purchased in-person or online at a Scout Shop. There are three locations in the area:

The official handbook is a Scout’s guide to their year in Cub Scouting. It is where they can find everything they need to complete requirements and many other Family Scouting activities.

Information on the Cub Scout Uniform can be found on Scouting.org. How to place patches can be found in Ultimate Cub Scout Patch & Badge Placement Guide. Consult the Boy Scouts of America’s Guide to Awards and Insignia for more information (Cub Scout-specific Guide).
The Tiger Cub Scout uniform has the following parts:
Shirt: The official blue uniform shirt is available with long or short sleeves and has button-flap pockets.
Pants: Shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants all are in official blue.
Belt: Official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle.
Socks: Official socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee. Tiger socks have an orange band on the top.
Hat: Official blue hat with orange front and Tiger emblem.
Neckerchief: Orange triangular neckerchief with Tiger logo. Official BSA neckerchiefs are the only neckerchiefs that are part of the uniform.
Neckerchief slide: Official gold-tone metal slide with orange Tiger emblem. Cub Scouts may wear handmade neckerchief slides.

Scout Emblem (World Crest Ring Emblem + 1910 World Crest Ring Emblem)
Council Patch (Central North Carolina Council)
Pack Numbers (Cub Scout Unit Numeral 5 + Cub Scout Unit Numeral 3)
Flag comes sewn onto shirt already
Official uniform pants, shorts, and Cub Scout socks are optional.
Additionally, you may choose to purchase the Cub Scout six essentials and other camping/hiking gear (i.e. a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat) from any outdoor store.

To earn the Tiger badge of rank, you must complete six required Adventures and any two elective Adventures.
