The Missouri Job Combine (named after both the NFL skills test and the farm harvester) is a project-oriented & multi-disciplinary rotational staffing service.
For example, an aspiring construction worker can start a Builders Tour with a basic carpentry job, and then proceed through plumbing, electrical, flatwork, and landscaping projects ...
Or someone new to the neighborhood can do a Community Tour through a handful of local companies on alternate days of the week ...
Or an enterprising young person who hasn't yet decided on a career path can rotate through a Variety Tour of different businesses (flower shops, pet stores, fitness centers) ...
We encourage good companies across the marketplace to participate, and invite anyone interested to register with our service. Then we meet up to learn about your interests, and coordinate planned rotations that work for everyone.
We address latent stress points in the workplace.
For example, many jobs often become boring or mundane - a job rotation can keep it interesting.
And for many professional office workers (engineers, programmers, accountants...), just sitting at a desk all day can present a healthcare liability (as over time this equates to a "sedentary lifestyle"). A job rotation a couple times a week into a more active role can help mitigate health concerns. Plus, a proper rotation is similar to cross-training, which leads to a holistically beneficial lifestyle.
Another stress point might be workplace relationships - which can become strained for various reasons. Our "managed rotations" offer a more desirable option than simply quitting or firing someone, while ensuring employment continuity for all parties.
This format also allows employers to see how multiple employees work with their company in a condensed timeframe, while also allowing employees to showcase their skill set to a portfolio of employers (which provides an array of professional reference opportunities, instead of depending on a singular boss's performance review).
And sometimes companies just need to grow or downsize for short periods - the Job Combine provides a solution for these cases as well.
> We can also serve as Employer of Record (EOR) for companies to allow them to focus on their core interest, rather than Admin or HR.
How it works:
We encourage companies across the marketplace to consider our "dynamic staffing" model (rather than conventional "static staffing" roles), where instead of just getting one person for one job, the company gets multiple capable & engaged people for that job.
For example, let's say a role pays $20/hr (or $40,000 per year). In this case, for the Job Combine value-added "dynamic staffing" service, our fee is $4,000 per year per role - which becomes a $44,000 per year position (a 10% markup on a $40k/yr role). So the employer has to consider whether that's a good value for the rotational service (from which they can "cherry pick" their favorite folks with a "direct hire" offer at any time.)
Our workforce ("journeymen") are encouraged to register with us FOR FREE.
Participating companies are charged a 10% markup on each "dynamic" role (managed via rotation) - which we feel offsets other costs and stress points inherent to the "static" role.
Both companies and crew can freely request a rotation.
> Ask us about "missing rungs on the ladder" - where we identify gaps in the marketplace that inhibit upward mobility - from those starting out to those nearing the finish line...
