Many thanks for your email.

I have previously corresponded with Ruth Herbert, who assured me that Dr Dutton's work and the links I sent her were to be included for the commissions consideration. I can only guess by this correspondences that this did not occur and this deliberate omission, as you can read, has been my opinion from the email exchange with Peter.

Since I have written extensively in a blog format, reformatting all this again in to a submission is quite a commitment of time, which I may undertake, if I have time ion the near future.

What I would like you to do is record the following opinion for Owens consideration until I send the reformatted material.

To recap;

The purpose of the Glenn Inquiry is:

"If New Zealand was leading the world in addressing Child Abuse and Domestic Violence, what would that look like?".

The commission then called for experiential input from all involved. It established a Panel comprised of similarly minded individual experts, from the recommendations of its chair. It ignored any contrary opinion and expert publications that did not fit with its viewpoint. It became a vehicle to perpetrate the accepted thinking very quickly and mired itself in minutia and detail that will go on for years with no discernible outcome. Asking people who are victims of a faulty system to describe the faulty system is a methodology incapable of delivering any perspective and alternate solutions.

If this situation is likened, as it has been many times by experts in the field, to a scenario where support services of the 13 or so government agencies TODAY that are involved in this issue are the AMBULANCE AT THE BOTTOM OF A CLIFF and the unfortunate abused cases are the ones being pushed over the edge, forming an Enquiry on the basis that Ruth has advised Owen to do as stated above, is analogous to walking around the flattened and traumatised bodies lying on the ground below the cliff asking them the following questions;

1) "What was your experience of being pushed?"

2) "What was your experience of falling?"

3) "Was it the fall or the sudden stop that did the damage?"

4) "What devices could we now build for you to make the next jump less injurious ? A trampoline ? An air bag ? A soft polystyrene ball filled pool to land in ? What would that device look like ?"

The question postulation of your commission has been formulated to be completely blind the commission to the reality that faulty science in the from of the Interventional System we have adapted into our Care of Children Act, Family Court Procedures, Support Services and overall attitudes has been shown to be unscientific, tautological, and data impervious. Not to mention violating patient ethics and abusing individual human rights in the process. To quote many International Experts such as Dr Dutton, this the reason that people are being pushed over the cliff edge in the first place. Add Child Poverty, Addictions and the usual mix of behaviours of people under stress and we have a big picture.
