CENTRAL NEW ENGLAND F CLASS
The CNE came under the control of the New Haven in 1904 but its locomotives were not merged into the New Haven's class system until 1927. Freight engines on the CNE were F class and included 2-8-0 and 2-6-0 types.
CLASS F-1
Ten of this type built by Baldwin in 1889-90 came under New Haven control.
Philadelphia, Reading & New England 25 Baldwin 1889. The F-1 ultimately became CNE 75 and was used on the New Haven as 257
Philadelphia, Reading & New England 32 became CNE 32 and was retired in 1911. New Hartford, CT. c.1892.

CLASS F-2
Seven compounds built in 1893 came under New Haven control.

CLASS F-3
Twenty-one relatively small 2-8-0's were built during New Haven control. Five came from Schenectady in 1904 and sixteen from Rogers in 1905, 1906 and 1907.

Central New England 44 was bilt by Schenectady in 1904. Became 103 in 1916.

CLASS F-4
Six 2-6-0's were built by Brooks in 1910. They were similar to the New Haven's K class and became New Haven K-6 550-555.
