U-1 Class

U-1-a 604 later 2509 was built by Rhode Island in 1891 as Old Colony 4.

U-1-a 309 was built by Rhode Island in 1892, became U-1-a 2504 and was sold in 1924.

U-1-b 510 later 2517 was built by Rogers in 1891 as Housatonic 60.

Housatonic 35 was built by Rogers in 1889, became U-1-b 2519 and was retired in 1923.

U-1-c 2520 was built by Pittsburg in 1903 and was retired in 1925.

U-2 Class

New York & New England 118 was built by Rhode Island in 1882, became U-2 2521 and was retired in 1915. Fishkill Landing c. 1885.

119 was also built by Rhode Island in 1882 but at this time had brakes between the last two drivers. Fishkill Landing.

1019, later U-2 2522, was built by Rhode Island in 1882 as New York & New England 119 as seen in the photo above..

U-3 Class

181 became U-3 2556. The plate on the cylinder reads, "Built for the NYNH&H RR Co. by the RI Loco Works Providence RI March 1893".

36 was built by Rhode Island in 1894, became U-3 2546 and was retired in 1932.

2532 ex 178 was built by New Haven Shops in 1903. At Cedar Hill September 1916.

137 was built by New Haven Shop sin 1902, became U-3 2534 and was retired in 1925.

2536 was built by New Haven Shops in 1901 and was retired in 1925.

12 was built by Rhode Island in 1893, became U-3 2551, and was retired in 1926.

U-3 2555 was built by Rhode Island in 1893 and retired in 1923. New Haven July 7, 1917.

2540 ex 40 was built by New Haven Shops in 1896 and converted into a shop switcher.

On display at New Haven April 1940 for visiting fans with the wrong built date on the smokebox.

2557 ex 457 was built by Rhode Island in 1895 and converted into a shop switcher. At Cedar Hill July 1937



U-4 Class

54 later 2595 was built by Rome in 1890

U-5 Class

150 later 2597 was built by Baldwin in 1888

V-1 Class

380 later 2700 was built as a 2-6-0 by Rhode Island in 1871 as Providence & Worcester 22.

V-2 Class

2701 ex 632 was built by Taunton in 1889 as Old Colony 32.

V-3 Class

2705 ex 907 was built by the New York & New England shops in 1888 with a tender and converted to a shop switcher.

Her size can be gauged by the small tender she is moving at the Readville Shops in May 1920.

V-4 Class

100 later 2709 was built by the Hartford Shops in 1881.

184 was built by Rogers in 1885 as Naugatuck 4, became V-4 2706 and was retired in 1905. Waterbury, CT.

V-5 Class

59 later 2710 was built by the Hartford Shops in 1887.

130 was built by New Haven Shops in 1886, became V-5 2711 and was retired in 1913.

58 was built by Hartford Shops in 1885, became V-5 2712 and was retired in 1910.
