3D NMR: Visualising the 3D spectra

3D NMR experiments can be visualized as 2D planes which is extended to a third dimension.

An example shown below is the HNCA spectrum which can be considered as a 1H-15N HSQC extended to a 13C third dimension.

A) HSQC plane,

B) 3D visualization of the planes F1,F2 and F3 of the HNCA experiment,

C) 23 plane of HNCA experiment = 15N, 1H HSQC,

D) extension of the 2D HSQC plane along the 3rd dimension which is 13C (F1),

E) 3D representation of the HNCA spectrum,

F) 13 plane of HNCA which is the 13C,1H HSQC plane also shown in G.
