Film: Mighty Taro's Reckless Training

The directors of the films in this section are currently unknown. Due to the 1923 Kanto earthquake, the firebombings of Tokyo, and general neglect, the vast majority of pre-war Japanese cinema has been lost. Many of the early animation films restored by the NFC in Tokyo are only fragments of what remains of the original films. In addition to the loss of the films themselves, additional documents such as sketchbooks and studio records have also been lost. This means that there are a great many films that have not yet been attributed to a particular artist or studio. Research continues in this area and this list will be updated when more information becomes available.
