- b.1955, Tochigi
- graduated from Tokyo Designer Gakuin College’s Department of Animation
- worked as an assistant animator for Tadanari Okamoto’s Echo-sha company working on films such as The Strong Bridge (1976) and Towards the Rainbow (1977).
- studied under Kihachiro Kawamoto, working on films such as Dojoji Temple (1976), House of Flames (1978), Rennyo, a Priest and his Mother (1981), To Shoot Without Shooting (1988), Animated Self Portraits (1988), and Briar-Rose or the Sleeping Beauty (1990)
- in 1999 he became in charge of the animation for the NHK character “Domo”
- in 2003 he joined Tsuneo Goda's company Dwarf
- worked with director Tsuneo Goda on animation series Komaneko and Makuma.
- has done a variety of animation styles for TV commercials, including “Kirin Namacha” by Kirin Beverage, “Potato Chips” by Calbee, “Hatsumitsu Kinkan lozenge” by NOBEL Confectionery, “Sofy” by Unicharm, “Sarasa” by P&G, “MiruMiru” by Yakult, “Basupura” by Seiyu.
- worked as a 3DCG animator for the film Juvenile (2000).
