Pressure

Two factors that can affect pressure:

• Force (F)
• Area (A)

To calculate the pressure, use this formula:

P = F/A

Pressure is measured using two different units:

• N/m²
• Nm^-2
• Pa (Pascals)

Force is measured in N (newtons)

Area is measured in m² (sq. metres)

To increase pressure:

• Increase force and/or
• Decrease surface area

To decrease pressure:

• Decrease force
• Increase surface area

Pretty straighforward really, just revise this a few times and I'm sure it'll get into your head.

When talking about pressure that doesn't stay the same... you'll need Boyle's law.....
