Creating, deploying and sharing
After you have purchased your Social Munzee, it will show up in your "My Socials" tab.
Click on your social to personalize it.
You will see this menu. It looks very similar to a regular munzee, but some of the features, such as rovers, don't apply to your social.
Use the edit tab to give your social a name and add some information about your social and who can cap it. You may need to do a "hard return" or push Enter a couple of times to get your formatting just right. I usually have to do this each time I go into the Edit tab.
The convert tab gives you the option to turn it into a secure social if you have purchased a lock.
Use the print tab to access your actual QR code. You can print it, or you can copy it to use in your image. In this tab, you will also find the URL to your social with the 6 digit secret code. If your social is not a public social, you will need to share this code with those you wish to cap your social.
The image tab is where you will go to personalize your social image. You can upload a photograph or other jpeg image. If you wish for your code to appear in the social, you will need to use some sort of photo editing program to copy and paste your code image onto the picture. You will then save that file and upload it.
To make it easy for others to scan your code, you need to leave a border of white around the code.
Once your social is ready, go back to "edit munzee" to deploy it.
If it is a public social, you need only share the URL (without the 6 digit code). You will also use that URL to let others know about your social if it is an achievement or reward social, but you will then need to personally send, in a private message, the longer url to those who are going to scan it.
Capping a Social
In a public social, with the code in the image, or on private facebook social sharing groups with images of the codes, simply scan the QR.
If someone sends you the URL + 6 digits in your munzee mail, you can hover over the URL with your mouse and the code will pop up to scan.
If all you have is the code, you will need to go to a QR code generator, enter the code and submit and a QR will be generated for you to cap.
You can find socials and Univerals (socials with points) to cap at Cuppazee.
You can also use QRstuff or any other type of code generator.
