In June of 2000 I flew a 1945 SNJ at War Bird Adventures in Kissimmee Florida. The SNJ has a 35 mm still camera in the left wing-tip, and color video cameras in the right wing-tip, vertical stabilizer, and under the instrument panel. You sit in the front seat with a very experienced instructor pilot in the back. After take-off the instructor demonstrates the aerobatics and lets you fly the SNJ. The video of this flight is awesome!

You should really try this!

We started with aileron rolls, rolls, and loops and then combined them into Cuban-Eights. The image at the top-left was taken half way through a wing-over, at the top-right we just started a loop, bottom-left cruising through the clouds, bottom-right has the Kissimmee Airport in the background.

The SNJ was also known as a A-6, Harvard, Texan, and Wirraway. The SNJ was built by North American Avaition and has a 600 hp Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1 supercharged, aircooled radial engine. It's normal criuse speed is about 160 MPH, but it can go over 200 MPH in level flight. It even has 2 30-cal Browning machine guns, and locations for 1000 pounds of underwing stores like rockets, bombs, or machine gun pods.
