Worldviews I Extra Credit
Occasionally, events will take place that are opportunities for Worldviews Warriors. If such events happen, as an incentive, you will be offered a few points of extra credit for attending and turning in notes. Any opportunities will be listed here.
If you would like to attend the event but are unable to, an alternate extra credit opportunity will be provided on request.

Semester 1:
Opportunity #1:
The 2010 Desiring God National Conference was entitled "Think: The Life of the Mind and the Love of God". The messages from this conference can be found here.
For each message you listen to and take notes on, you can earn 4 points of extra credit, up to a total of 20 points, or 5 talks worth. Simply put your name and "Semester 1 Extra Credit" at the top of a sheet of paper, followed by the title and speaker of the talk you listen to, and take notes. The notes must be turned in before the end of the semester, no later than the start of class on December 10. If your notes show that you listened carefully to the talk, you will receive the full point amount.

Opportunity #2:
The 6th district court of appeals recently offered an important ruling. The opinion begins on p. 7 of the document found here. The majority decision is quite lengthy and is offered first, and a minority dissenting opinion (from a justice who disagrees with the majority opinion) come afterwards. Read one section of the majorit opinion, and sum it up for me in a few paragraphs. Or read the dissenting opinion and sum it up for me. Turn in your summary for 5 points of extra credit (1 per person only, please.) Feel free to read more of this interesting decision.
