Konstantin Raikin was born on July 8, 1950 in Leningrad. In 1967 he graduated with a degree in physics and mathematics from Leningrad State University (LSU). In 1971 he graduated from the Drama School BV Shchukin (course JV Katin-Yartsev ). In the same year, Konstantin Raikin was invited by Galina Volchek to the theater "Contemporary", where he performed for ten years. During this time he played in 38 theater roles: "Valentin and Valentina" Roshchina, "and go ... and go ..." by F. Dostoevsky (director V. Fokin) "Monument" E. Vetemaa (director V. Fokin) "Balalaikin and K" by Saltykov-Shchedrin (directed by G. Tovstonogov), "Twelfth night" by William Shakespeare (directed by P. James) and others.
In 1981 he moved to the Leningrad theater under the leadership of A. Raikin . In 1982 the theater moved to Moscow and became the State Theatre, and then in 1987 it became the "Satyricon" by the Moscow theater . During this period, along with his father, he played in "His Majesty Theatre" and "Peace to your House." In 1985, he premiered "Come on, Artist!" In the same year he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR. Since 1988 he has been the artistic director of the theater.
Since 2001 Konstantin Raikin has been the head of several courses at the Moscow Art Theater School .
In 2012, a private institution of higher education "High School of Performing Arts Theatre School Konstantin Raikin" was created.
In 2013, the first set of students was put in to place in the acting department (dean - Elena Butenko-Raikin).
In 2014, the first time, a set of 11 students was put in to place in the School of Management (Dean of the Faculty Monastic Denis, Head of the Department of Theatre Management Gennady Dadamyan). The school was set up in three main faculties of higher education: The cast, Management, Technology,, as well as the Center for Continuing Education (Head - Olga Rudnev). Artistic director of the Konstantin Raikinl, said in an interview: "The idea of creating his own school was there with us for a long time. Our theater offers the young a great experience - not only actors, but also artists, and technologists - on all fronts theater. The theater is a huge "factory" with lots of "shops", and each "shop" makes me want to share my thoughts and feelings, to convey the experience of building such a complex mechanism as a theater. So I plan to participate in the work, and lighting, and the manager's department. "
In the movies, Konstantin Raikin debuted in a small role in the military picture "Happy Commander". Widely known for his roles in " Much Ado About Nothing " (1973 ) and " At Home Among Strangers " (1974). Great audience success accompanied K. Raikin after starring in the musical film "Truffaldino of Bergamo " (1976). He starred in another musical film, "The Island of Lost Ships ", filmed by E. Ginsburg and R. Mammadov in 1987. He also played a major role (Shalom). In 1988 he played the role of Solange in the theater Roman Viktyuk. Konstantin Raikin and his mastery of transformation were clearly manifested in the film " Shadow, or Maybe Everything Would Cost " (1990), produced by M. Kozakov, based on the play by Eugene Schwartz, where the actor played two roles, Academic and Shadows. In 2002 he played the famous detective Hercule Poirot in the mini-series "The Failure of Poirot" .
