Ferret

On crooked claws,

the cunning mouse-catcher;

On racer’s legs,

the rabbit-hunter:

Narrow-faced,

of nightly habits,

Black-footed, buff-coated,

burrow-raider;

A menace indeed

to mice and marmots;

Terror to rats

even twice his size.
