How Flowering Plants Reproduce
In order to understand how Gregor Mendel performed his experiments with pea plants, it is useful to know how flowering plants reproduce.
A flower contains a plant's reproductive organs. Flowering plants reproduce sexually, so they have both male and female reproductive organs. Here is a list of the organs:
Anther - The anther is the male reproductive organ. The anther holds the pollen. Pollen is the male gamete.
