A mentoring toolkit is an online resource that provides mentee's with the appropriate mateial needed in order to succeed in the mentoring process. A mentoring toolkit is an important resource because it provides a mentee with accessible information in regards to the mentoring partnership. In the mentoring toolkit, there are numerous articles, video material, and interpreting resources for each mentee. Each category has a number of entry material that the mentor will give the mentee during the process of mentoring. Each entry is different and the mentor will give specific instruction depending on the material provided.
Hello! Welcome to my mentoring toolkit. My name is Kelli McKinnon and I am from a small town in Texas. I currently work as an educational interpreter in the great state of Louisiana. I received my Board of Evaluation of Interpreters (BEI) Basic Certification in the spring of 2019. I began my collegiate journey at a Lamar State College in the year of 2012. I then transferred to Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and entered the Deaf Education Deaf Studies program (2014). I graduated from Lamar University in the Fall of 2017 with a BA in American Sign Language and will graduate with a Masters of Science degree in ASL/English Interpreting from the the Univesity of North Florida in the spring of 2020. I have been interpreting for 3 years in the field of educaiton.
