Common names

Large-leaved skunk bush (English); lushiko, chisiko, musiko, musyiko (Bemba); chifiko (Kunda); chipanga, chisagala, kanya-waina, mfika, nsiko (Nyanja); musyiko (Tumbuka).

General description and distinguishing characteristics

A deciduous shrub sometimes a small tree. Small white flowers with a distinct corolla tube, borne November. The fruits are small, and mature in February.

Range and habitat

On termite mounds, thicket and Mopane woodland on sand. Common in thicket areas.
