General description and distinguishing characteristics
A deciduous medium sized tree with an open crown, and grey bark which is slightly fissured. Leaves compound, crowded at the end of branches. Produces small white flowers in dense panicles which are borne from September to January. The small four side fruits mature from May to August.

Range and habitat
Abundant on rocky slopes, and can be seen on the river side of President's Hill. Also on old, sandy alluvial soils between Tafika and Mukasanga village.
