General description and distinguishing characteristics
A large semi-deciduous tree with a spreading crown, the bole often buttressed, bark greyish brown with a characteristic yellowish tinge.
Range and habitat
Valley riverine fringe woodland and thicket. A very handsome tree which is common in the alluvial areas throughout the Valley.
