Atakapas [Attakapas] December 15th, 1796. I certify that I measured, surveyed, and laid out three tracts of land: one in the name of Mrs. Rachel Bell surveyed December 10th, 1796, one in the name of Mr. William Weeks surveyed December 11th, 1796, and one in the name of Gideon Hopkins surveyed December 12th, 1796. Said lands is on the Grande Cote [Weeks Island] on the Northwest of Chafflia [Atchafalaya] Bay, and the above platts are true representation thereof. William Atchinson, Deputy Surveyor.
