apparently Station 1 is the callmen - Station 10 is the 6 paid men on duty in Leesburg - Station 13 is also paid - some of the rural stations dont have paid men apparently
they had 2 boxes at once in Leesburg
Boston FD dispatches 'on the air' companys this way - "Attention Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, respond to box 1272 for 121 North St, Engine 1?" - "Engine 1 has it" - "Ladder 1?" - "Ladder 1 has it" - "Rescue 1?" - "Rescue 1 has it" - they have been doing this for 30 or 40 years
