Green Streaks Junior Volleyball Club
The Green Streaks Junior Volleyball Club is open to all Livingston high school girls and boys. Club members practice once a week on Tuesday evenings (7:30PM-9:30 at LHS or Heritage). The club provides training, coaching and opportunities to play tournaments. All participants MUST preregister at the recreational department.
The Green Streaks Junior Volleyball Club's primary goal is to provide quality training to Livingston high school players
The program focuses on strengthening basic skills and supporting the next season's bid for varsity and jv spots.
The Livingston Tradition and Volleyball
The Livingston Women's Volleyball Team provides coaches to promote and continue the tradition of Livingston and Volleyball. Livingston is home to one of NJ's first women's volleyball programs, producing winning teams in USA Volleyball's regional year-end tournament at A, BB and B levels. Once, the Japanese girls national team even stopped by and challenged the Livingston Green Streaks to a scrimmage during their tour thru the USA!
Livingston teams not only compete in most all NJ/NY metro area events but travelled around the country competing in: Arizona, California, Illinois, Maryland Massachusetts and Pennsylvannia!
The club hosts 8-10 tournaments a year and plays in 5-8 tournaments a month.
Volleyball is second only to men's soccer as the world's most popular sport. Nearly 900 American colleges and universities field women's varsity teams which contrasts the 70 or so men's collegiate teams. Volleyball is also an ideal lifetime sport as it is played not only at the high school and college level nationwide, but also at thousands of adult volleyball clubs like the Green Streaks.
