Nummulites laevigatus

These are actually the complex, coiled calcareous shells of massive single-celled marine organisms. They thrived in astronomical numbers across the warm, shallow, sunlit seafloors of the Lutetian sea. Finding entire beds packed with these structures provides an excellent environmental blueprint, confirming a highly stable, tropical carbonate shelf environment with specific water depths. 

These foraminifers are larger then most, the discshaped protists 

can well exceed 1 cm.
