Star Trees for R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites
[This page has not been updated since 2019; the number of R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites who have done STR testing makes the star trees very congested, and STR-based star trees have been made largely obsolute by SNP-based trees using the results of full Y-DNA testing.]
This page posts star trees for R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites, generated using phylogenetic network software from Fluxus Technology Ltd.
On the star trees, yellow dots identify nodes, i.e., tested men grouped according to their pattern of marker values. A larger circle means that there is more than one man with results reported at that mode. Near the core of the star trees, the results for multiple men share the same node.
The relationships set forth on the star tree are based upon patterns of marker values and specific mutations on marker values. As generated, these trees give equal weight to deviations on any marker; if different markers are given different weight, the trees would be substantially different.
Star Tree for R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites Who Have Tested to 111 Markers
This tree shows the relationship among all of the R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites who had tested to 111 markers as of March 10, 2019. (The node identified as modal includes the results for multiple men; accordingly, not all men's names appear on the tree.)

Star Tree for R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites Who Have Tested to at Least 67 Markers
This tree shows the relationship among all of the R1a-Y2619 Ashkenazi Levites who had tested to at least 67 markers as of March 10, 2019. (The nodes that are larger than the smallest nodes include the results for multiple men; accordingly, not all men's names appear on the tree.)
