NOTE                

1. Deadlines will be strictly observed. No extensions will be allowed in any circumstances whatsoever

2. Qualification; entries can be made by any registered player. All entrants must have played at least TWO league matches by the end of R2

3. Format; All matches, up to and including the semi finals, will be decided by the best of three frames. Senior Merit and Tony Ellis Trophy play off scratch, all other competitions off current league handicaps. All finals best of five frames

4. Results; It is the winner's responsibility to notify the Match Secretary of the result by the closing date. All results must be submitted via the results form which can be accessed via the home page on the website. No other methods of submitting results will be permitted. Failure to submit a results will lead to exclusion from the next round - even if you have won

5. Arranging matches;

   1. It is the responsibility of BOTH players to contact each other to arrange the match. 

   2. Any player who has tried but failed to arrange the match may claim the tie by notifying the match secretary before the closing date. If neither player claims by the closing date, both will be eliminated

   3. If a player is unable to play for any reason whatsoever (work, holidays, illness, bereavement etc) he must concede the tie to his opponent

6. Handicaps; 

   1. The Levenshulme Classic, Senior Merit and Tony Ellis Trophy are played off scratch.

   2. The Hornby Handicap and the Veterans handicap are played off current league handicaps. It is each player's responsibility to know his own current league handicap. The maximum start that can be conceded is 50. If a player is found to have played off a handicap higher than he was entitled to he will be disqualified. If he plays off a lower one, the result will stand.

7. Phone numbers; please check that the phone number given for you is correct. Contact Mike Young asap to allow correction

8. Late arrival; in all rounds the first frame may be claimed if the opponent is more than 15 minutes late and the match if more than 30 minutes later than the time agreed

9. All players must have played at least two league matches by the end of the second round matches

10. Player of the Season; points will be awarded as follows, depending on the number of entries. 

• 1. 33 or more entries; last 32 = 0.5, last 16= 1, quarter-finalists = 2, semi-finalists = 3, losing finalist = 4, winner = 5

  2. 16-32 entries; Last 16= 0.5, quarter-finalists =1, semi-finalists =2, losing finalist 3, winner 4

  3. 15 or fewer entries; quarter-finalists  = 0.5,  semi-finalists = 1, losing finalist = 2, winner = 3
