SAS Application

Applications for the 2019-2020 school year are being accepted! Please go to https://apply.lausd.net/ to submit your Unified Enrollment application. You will need to create a parent account and have your student's LAUSD ID number (can be found on any report card). The verification form will need to be given to your elementary school counseling office that will need to sign confirming your child meets one of the three requirements and keep proof of eligibility. The verification form will be sent to the Unified Enrollment office in order to complete your application.

Criteria:

• Resident of LAUSD.
• Meeting one of the following criteria:
  • Identified as gifted in Intellectual, High Achievement, or Specific Academic Categories.
  • Scores of Exceed Standards on SBAC for ELA and Mathematics
  • National percentile scores of 85 or above for most recent year
  • (new/out-of-district/OLSAT-8) in reading AND mathematics.
  • Demonstrate mastery of all four critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in their primary language.

Selection process:

• SAS selection is a straight lottery process. All eligible application are weighted equally and are selected based on available seats in the program.
• Selection will be announced through email March 2019.
• If you do not get an email stating your selection status by March 31, 2019, please contact the school.
