Reception Chair
Oversee the reception. Set up the reception tables and decorate the area so that it is welcoming and festive. Costly flowers are not necessary. Keep it simple but nice. Take down decorations when done, launder the cloths, and return to the Ceremony Chair.
Coordinate the reception committees. Organize placement of food/beverages, and ensure the food area is kept organized during the reception. Purchase napkins and cups, staying within your budget!
Budget: $100
Historical Notes / Reports:
Food & Beverage Coordinator
Create food and beverage contribution list and distribute to all participating troop leaders. (You can either have leaders sign up or assign the items each troop needs to bring).
Emphasize to leaders that all food items must be delivered "ready to serve" on a disposable tray.
Try to get local companies (Trader Joe's, Sprouts, etc.) to donate water bottles and/or lemonade.
At the ceremony, check in reception food. Work with Reception Chair to set everything up.
Set up the beverage area before the ceremony, and man the beverage distribution during the reception. You will need to bring decanters for the lemonade and ice chests for the bags of ice and water (if needed).
Clean-Up
Make sure the reception area is cleaned up when done. If trash cans become full, remove bag and put in new bag. Bring plenty of large trash bags.
