This version has a number of small updates from the Version 1. The biggest of these is the introduction of the use of currency, the ability to buy items and treats at a shop, and the ability to wrap and give another tamagotchi an item which you possess. In addition, each character has a treat which he or she likes or dislikes.
The v2 has four games, a big jump from the v1's two. They are Jump, Bump, Heading, and Slot. To play Jump, the user has to press the buttons corresponding to the circles that have just filled. This determines how high you jump.
The next game is called Bump. In it you have to press any button when it says Push! on screen. Then press the same button when the power bar is at a high level. Then you watch as your tama and a guest try to knock each other over. If you knock the other one over you have won but if they knock you over you lose. The object is to get through all of the rounds without losing.
The third game is called Heading. In it you move your tamagotchi from side to side using the A button to move to the left and the C button to move to the right. When you are below the ball, you press the B button to head the ball.
The fourth game is Slot. In it you choose how many points to bet from 1 to 9. Next a slot machine with your tama under it appears. The tama's expression cycles through many sad faces, one normal face, and one happy face. Try to press the B button while it has the happy face or the normal face. If you press it during the happy face a circle will appear, if you press it during the normal face a triangle will appear, and if you press it during a sad face an x will appear. You get three chances to press the button and three results (circle, triangle, or x) are displayed.
If you get three x's you get zero points and lose what you bet. If you get two x's and a triangle you get back exactly what you bet. If you get one x and two triangles you get back three times what you bet. If you get three triangles...
This tamagotchi keeps all of the characters from version 1. It also has some new characters. These ones are actually from the Mesutchi and Osutchi. There are a few that are from the Keitai.
