Also called Mori no Tamagotchi in Japanese. Was scheduled to be released in English but was never actually was. Below is a growth chart. You will notice that instead of a teenager stage there is a cocoon stage which lasts 24 hours. During this stage you control the outcome of which character you get by controlling the temperature of its environment. This version also has the sound sensor that is again used to scare away predators like in the oceangotchi. This version also has a special spotted egg that can be chosen at the beginning and turns into a stag beetle called Kabutotchi that you have to make as long as possible. It shows a length meter so that you can track this feature.
