Salvation Army Presentation Celebration at the Tousey House

On 12/13/22  we shared the Christmas Season with a dinner meeting, and presenting a donation check to the Salvation Army from our Kiwanis Boone County Club.  The $150 donation was in addition to our helping their Adopt A Family Program raising over $1200 in gifts. We also rang Bells for the Salvation Army 12/10/22 at the Kroger's in Burlington from 1000 am until 600pm along with the assistance of the Ryle High School Key Club.

At our 11-22-22 Meeting Chris Saunders Exec Director of Mentoring + attended our meeting and received a Donation form our Club.  Thanks, Mentoring Plus for what you do.  Also Lt. Governor Robbie Morris was there for the Donation ceremony.

GoPantry receives a "helping hand" from Boone County Kiwanis

Brianza Wine Walk for Mentoring Plus 

A beautiful fall Sunday and a Wine and Cheese "Walk" at Brianza Gardenas and Winery.  For the benefit of Mentoring Plus.  We had 30 folks join us for a deltiful experience of walking the vineyard and learning about growing grapes and making wien from owner Tony Parnigoni.

Kiwanis Boone County Presents Donation to GO Pantry

Beth McIntire accepts a donation check for $3,000 from Kiwanis President Steve Sturgil. This was raised primarily from the "Revisiting the Roaring Twenties" Fundraiser held in August 2022 at the Brianza Winery. GOPantry helps feed hungry kids in N. Kentucky.

Roaring Twenties Fundraiser a Success

"Remembering the Roaring Twenties" get together Friday Evening at Brianza Winery. Our Kiwanis Club had 75 folks for Dinner, Wine Tasting and music and dancing the Charleston. What a hoot!  This was primarily for GO Pantry and Camp Corral.

Kiwanis Boone County Members Go On Warsaw Hayride 

Several of our Club members and friends went "Hayride-ing" in support our member Kendra McCardle.  Kendra is running for Boone County and Grant County Family Court Judge. We celebrated the 4th of July in Warsaw in a parade through town. We tossed out candy to kids and wished everyone a Happy 4th!

Fun Road Rally

Burlinton Courthouse / Bierhaus Restaurant

Road Rally!  This was a fun event with Friends of Kiwanis and KCBC members. We went on a Car Rally starting early afternoon in Boone County at the Court House, rallied through Boone County, over into Ohio, then through Cleves and ending up 27 miles later at Kremers Bierhaus Restaurant for a social dinner. We answered an interesting Q and A sheet while on the Rally!

Ryle Key Club Scholarship Given

We awarded Beth Long, head of New Day Ranch, a donation of $1,600 including $300 Gift Certificates from the Meijer Stores in Florence, KY.  This donation came primarily from our Easter Fundraiser on April 9th. 

The Kiwanis Club of Boone County presented our Ryle High School Key Club Scholarship 2021-2022 during their awards night to Charlie Garcia. Our Kiwanis Club recognized Charlie's contributions, academic excellence, enthusiasm and involvement with the Ryle Key Club.

Kiwanis Boone County Hosts BUGs Ice Cream Social 

Kiwanis Boone County hosted an Ice Cream Social for 35 kiddos from New Haven Elemetary's BUGs program on Monday, May 16th. Kids loved it. Mr. Steve, Mr Doug, and Ms Sue were there from Kiwanis. Kids each gave a talk about who they were and what they've learned during the year. They got a graduation Cert from BUG

Guest Speaker Roger Babik, Master Provisions

Roger Babik, President of Master Provisions, visited us at our Aril 26th Noon Meeting.  Master Provisions' moto is "they distribute resources to partner nonprofit agencies who serve people in need." They work with local school students and children appointed from Kentucky Agencies who help sort foods and sort items and load trucks. MP assist over 65,000 each month is some form. Guest of our Guest Speaker was Sam Slater from the Mason Ohio Kiwanis Club and Lt. Governor in Ohio of Kiwanis.

"Go for GOPantry" Spring Wine Walk

Brianza's Wine Walk for Go Pantry was awesome! Thanks Tony and Deb Parnigoni and Brianza Winery...and Beth McIntyre, GOPantry, for sharing the day!  We sampled wines, cheeses, and met friends all while taking a 2.5K stroll. We had about 70 folks come out!

The Kiwanis Club of Boone County hosted a truly fun event.  We had over 70 folks, adults and children, come to the New Day Ranch for a visit with the Easter Bunny, go on an Easter Egg Hunt, have a yummy breakfast and stop by to say "hello" to the animals in the Petting Zoo and have a chance to go home with some wonderful gift baskets.

Our Kiwanis Boone members joined in to support our member Kendra McCardle who is running for Family Court Judge this coming fall. We were all having some Fish sandwiches and supporting Kendra. Also a Rally at the Triple Crown Country Club..
