Each year Conservation Districts of Iowa hold a Soil and Water Conservation Poster Contest.
This Competition is open to all students who are residents of Iowa from kindergarten through 12th grade. The winning poster then competes in the Regional contest. Sometimes teachers are so busy with their curriculum that they are unable to encourage students to compete, but students can compete individually as well as through their class. In addition, monetary awards will be given to the top posters submitted to the Jones SWCD.
