Christmas Tree Walk

The Jones SWCD shows a Christmas tree decorated by the commissioners and staff at the annual Christmas Tree Walk held annually the second week in December at the Lawrence Center in Anamosa.

The theme of the Christmas tree was the importance of pollinators. This tree was to show who the pollinators are and why they are so important. That way when the pollinators are seen, they might be thought of differently. Some of the pollinators on the tree included butterflies, ladybugs, bats, insects, and birds.

Commissioners and staff donate food items to the local food pantry as their entry fee to the Christmas Tree Walk.
