Welcome to the Jones Soil and Water Conservation District
The Jones Soil and Water Conservation District (Jones SWCD) is a legal subdivision of the State of Iowa. The Jones SWCD cooperates directly with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS).
The 'Mission' of the Jones SWCD is to provide local leadership in the advancement of the protection and enhancement of the natural resources of Jones County by providing technical, educational, and financial assistance to the public by using all available resources.

Jones SWCD Commissioner Julie Orris presented Garry Zumbach the 2023 Farmstead Windbreak Award in memory of his wife Carla Zumbach. Carla established the windbreak in 2014 on the Zumach family farm.
