HHS NHS Class of 2016 Membership Candidacy Form

Congratulations! You have been identified as a potential candidate for membership into the L.V. Hightower High School National Honor Society Class of 2016. This invitation was based on your outstanding academic standing.

Please understand that this is NOT an outright acceptance as a member of NHS^TM. The criteria for election to the National Honor Society are based on four pillars: SCHOLARSHIP, CHARACTER, LEADERSHIP, and SERVICE. You have met the standard of scholarship. The standards of character, leadership and service will now be reviewed in a variety of ways as follows:

1. a completed online candidate form;

2. appraisal of the HHS faculty;

3. appraisal of the member(s) of the community; and

3. successful completion of the internship process.

The NHS faculty council will make the final decision on your candidacy.

You will now be asked to complete an online candidacy packet. NOTE that you will only be able to enter all this information once so you must complete all forms in one sitting. To this end, it is highly recommended that you download, print and fill up the whole candidate form before you enter any information here. The downloadable form may be found below and comes in pdf and in word formats.
