We all learn differently therefore providing students with multiple learning experiences is necessary. Assessing with multiple formal and informal assessments is significant, but most importantly aligning instructional goals to objectives that meet all standards. This brings me to my third goal. My goal is to align formal and informal assessment to objectives that meet state, national and district standards. What brought me to this particular goal is that I have seen teachers that do not align their objective to their assessment. In my academic career I have learned from good teachers and not so good teacher. Therefore the information I feed to my student will be relevant and the students will make connection between disciples. They will know our objective and parents will know were their student stands academically.
As an educator I know different learning styles such as tactile learner, auditory, visual. However as a person I know that by using all three and implementing experiences were the students are involved is part of learning not only for students or teachers but as a person overall. That being I am knowledgeable of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS). In my academic career I was taught to always align the objective, state standards and assessment, and that's exactly what I will do.
