About Me

I was born and raised in Houston, TX. My parents are from Zacatecas, Mexico. I am the first in my family to attend college. I have two children, a boy and a girl. I graduated in May 2008 from Milby High School. My goal is to advocate for Dual Language Education because I believe in acculturation. Both of my children attend a Dual Language campus and so far they have grown so much as humans. They have friends from all over the world. Just a mom hoping for a better future. For US.

Professional

After high school I worked at Gulf Coast Community Services were I served as a teacher aid for Reveille Head Start from 2008-2010. I then received my Associates degree in May 2011 from Houston Community College after receiving my Associated degree I transferred to UHCL in January 2012. With Gods grace I was able to earn my BA in Edu from UHCL in 2016 and my Masters in Edu in 2020.
