• entered Toho as an assistant art director after gradutation
• like her husband, she also apprenticed under So Matsuyama
• her maiden name was Nagaoka (長岡)
• 1951 married Yoshiro Muraki
• debuted as an art director for Kon Ichikawa’s Blue Revolution (青色革命/Aoiro Kakumei, 1953).
• awarded the Order of the Purple Ribbon in 1993
