First Announcement: Italian Soft Days 2016 - Milan, June 23-24 2016

Dear Colleagues,

in September 2014 we organised in Rome the first edition of the Italian Soft Days. According to the feedback that we have received from the participants, the meeting was a successful event and, as you may remember, the plan was to have a second edition in Milan, in 2015. 

However, the organisation of the 2015 edition turned out to be more difficult than we expected. Expo2015 is a big success and, if this makes everybody happy, it has some consequences on the overall city life, including in particular travel and lodging. In addition, we thought that September 2015 would not be the ideal choice due the the large number of superimposing events, including an entire section of the SIF congress in Rome, which was devoted to Soft Matter.

For all these reasons we preferred to posticipate the second edition to June 2016, a period that was carefully chosen in order to minimise the superposition with (known) events of potential interest for our community.

So, we are finally glad to announce you that iSoDays 2016 will be held in Milan on  June 23 and 24, 2016. Additional information will be made available soon through our website (https://sites.google.com/site/italiansoftdays). For now, we kindly ask you to keep note of these dates and to do your best to be participate and support the Italian Soft Matter community in Italy and abroad.

Most of the features of the first edition, such as devoting particular attention to young researchers and granting free registration to everyone, will remain. However, we need your help to optimise the event organisation. For this reason, we kindly ask you to complete a short survey (max. 3 minutes of your time) to give us your input on a few important issues.
