Giuseppe Cassera Moretti (1832 - 1872) was born in Vercana, Como, Lombardy, Italy in 1832. He joined his uncle, Giuseppe Cassera Moretti, who was a Jeweller in King's Lynn, in the 1850s. Although he lived with his uncle for a while, he was living in London and working for the British Postal Service in February 1856. When his uncle made his will on 22 May 1856, Guiseppe Cassera Moretti II was living at 23 Brooke Street, Holborn.
In the third quarter of 1856 he married Ann Palmer (1836 - 1863) in King's Lynn. They had four children: Louis Cassera (1857 - 1925), Florence (1859 - 1872), Julian Cassera (1860 - ?) and Giuseppe Cassera (1862 - 1863).

In 1858 Giuseppe was a Jeweller and Optician in 65 High Street, King's Lynn. On the 1861 census he was a Goldsmith and lived at 64 High Street, St Margaret, King's Lynn.
Ann Moretti died on 11 November 1863 in King's Lynn, followed by her son Giuseppe on 17 November.
Giuseppe Cassera Moretti married again on 28 September 1865 to Ursula Bolton Chapman. They had three children: Giuseppe Cassera Moretti (1866 - 1944), John Chapman Moretti (1868 - 1874) and Elizabeth Ann Moretti (1870 - 1957).

By 4 November 1864 Giuseppe Cassera Moretti was in debt. In 1865 he was still working as a Jeweller and Optician. His address was 100 High Street, King's Lynn. But four years later, on 24 May 1869, he was adjudged bankrupt.
On 3 February 1870 Moretti applied for a position as Vice Consul of Italy in King's Lynn.

Enclosed was a reference by the mayor of King's Lynn, Justices of the Peace, Merchants, Revenue Officers, Ship Owners, Ship Captains and other inhabitants of King's Lynn, who certified that the appointment of a vice Consul for Italy was necessary and who testified to the fitness of Giuseppe Cassera Moretti for such appointment. He probably wasn't appointed as no record of his appointment has been found.

On the 1871 census Giuseppe Cassera Moretti was a Ship Broker and lived at 20 King Street, St Margaret, King's Lynn.
He died of Phthisis on 18 January 1872 in Tower Street King's Lynn. His wife died two years later.
