Mixed Media Paintings

I began experimenting with gel mediums this year. Layering paint, drawing, gel, more drawing, another layer of gel. Using fewer found objects. Sometimes using gloss medium, which dries clear and shiny. Other times using matt which dries more translucent and gives the affect of encaustic.

The drawing is partially botanically inspired, but mostly doodle-like. LIFE and it's sacredness continues to be my inspiration.
