I started painting up a storm in 2020 and finished 29 pieces by June. The pandemic lead me to embrace my introverted side and forge ahead. I worked in mixed media/acrylic/gel medium on art boards and continued with the women/dog/bird themes inserting a horse as well. Those are the images you will see on this page.
In July I turned to a portrait I had been wanting to do of my mother, sister and me back in the 90s when we were out huckleberry picking. Then I did the self portrait you see on my Home page. My sister commissioned me to do a portrait of her youngest grandchild, Justus; then a friend commissioned me to do a portrait of her, her mother and sisters. I painted several other portraits and self portraits. I watched SKY ARTS PORTRAIT ARTIST OF THE YEAR on Youtube and learned a lot!
I don't know where this next year will take me. But stay tuned, as they say!
