Thanks again for such a successful Comfort Box Packing. On November 2, volunteers sorted and prepared vast amounts of candies, snacks, comfort items and approximately 300 wreathes!
Candy wreathes (new in 2009) were included in each box,along with at least one scarf and/or hat, a stocking full of candy and snacks, games, cards, calendars, note pads and holiday decorations.
Thanks to all the prepackers who came on Sunday and throughout the day on Monday, by 6:30 like items were sorted and boxes ready to be packed.
Many groups and individuals worked on wreathes. Below residents of The Rose in Des Moines, IA (baker Katie Bolie traveled to deliver supplies and pick up) and Emanuel Lutheran Church's Youth Group.
