A Great Site Something cool that Xerox is doing
If you go to the web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to miltary personnel serving overseas. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. It is FREE and it only takes a minute.
CHRISTMAS AT ARLINGTON CEMETERY
Schools and the Pledge of Allegiance:
A December 1st article in the Omaha World Herald polled Omaha, Council Bluffs, Millard, Lincoln, Papillion-LaVista and Catholic area schools about their policy of students standing and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
Coincidentally (?)
this cartoon has been forwarded by many bakers and supporters.
Also from the article:
Did you know? The Pledge of Allegiance has changed since it was written in 1892. The original read, "my flag" which was changed to "the flag of the United States of America." The words "under God" were added in 1954.
Also sent in by many of our supporters:
Here's the view from the flight pattern into SAC (Bellevue, NE). This is
what our serviceman see when landing at Offutt AFB. Hat tip to the Bellevue farmer that made it happen!
These wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington, Maine. The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this since 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.
More on the story at Snopes.com which also contains a video about Mr. Worcester along with a link to Wreaths Across America, an effort to place memorial wreathes at more than 230 State and National Cemeteries and Veterans Monuments across the United States.

Rest easy, sleep well my brothers.
Know the line has held, your job is done.
Rest easy, sleep well.
Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held.
Peace, peace, and farewell...
A great video from the golf channel.
Filmed during a USO tour at a marine base in Iraq.
