The AMSTERDAM CAPITAL CITY CHOIR

The Amsterdam Capital City Choir (Hoofdstadkoor) is a very accessible oratorio choir.

We are looking for new members, who can attend our rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, have some knowledge of music and can study at home with practice materials.

We are known for the pleasant atmosphere at rehearsals and study days. Everyone who can sing is, in principle, welcome. To further improve quality, a permanent vocal pedagogue provides refresher courses for all choir members, per voice group or individually. In addition to the weekly rehearsals, members are asked to do their own study with digitally available practice music for each voice type.

We are an organization in which every member counts. The board is elected by the members and everyone can have a say in the policy, the choice of repertoire and the course of events during rehearsals and concerts.

Membership fee

The membership fee will be €87,50 per quarter from 1-1-2024. From this sum our conductor, repetitor and vocal pedagogue are paid, the rent of our rehearsal rooms and the costs of an annual study day at a special location.
